Misleading Ads Of Burger King-A TV advertisement of Burger King has been banned due to complaints that Tendercrisp chicken burger shown in the ads was misleading.

In order to check the veracity of the complaints over Burger King, the Advertising Standards Authority purchased three burgers and found out that the thickness including the quantity of additional fillings (such as salad) and the overall height of the burger was “considerably less” than what appeared in the ad.

The ads featured a man eating a large Tendercrisp chicken burger in a motel while an angry-looking cow was standing in the doorway saying: “So good, you’ll cheat on beef.”

The Advertising Standards Authority said, “We also examined the size of the burgers in the hands of an average-sized man and considered that they did not fill the hands to the same extent as the burger featured in the advert. We concluded that the visuals in the advert were likely to mislead viewers as to the size and composition of the product.”

The picture shown in the advertisement was in close-up shots, which gave viewers wrong impressions.
